I first met Michael at Freedom Service dogs where he was a trainer for the dogs for a veteran program. Michael trained my service dog Cipher and I can't put into words what an amazing job he did training Cipher. Cipher came to me knowing all basic commands as well as additional commands that are helpful to veterans. In the time that I have known him he has always displayed professionalism and dedication to his clients and the dogs he works with. Michael introduced new commands for veterans with PTSD and helped us work through teaching new commands to the dogs. He is very patient and understanding and will continue to work until the dog has mastered a skill. Michael is always quick to respond if I need any additional help with Cipher showing me that he truly cares about not only myself but my dog as well. Michael is very friendly and easy to talk to and takes the time to explain what he is doing in the process of training. The dog that Michael trained is life changing for me and I know that Michael put in a lot of hard work and time into his training. I definitely recommend his behavior academy for anyone who wants a well trained dog from a skilled trainer.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Michael for nearly a year. In that time I have seen a genuine passion and dedication toward his craft as a dog trainer, along with a strong interest in giving back to the military veteran community.
As a volunteer with Freedom Service Dogs of America (FSD) I learned from Michael the importance of consistency and patience when training a dog. Specifically - one of Michael’s dogs was a Shepherd/Husky mix by the name ofCipher. He came in as a dog with much potential but also with many challenging issues. Michael never gave up on this awesome dog. He was creative in his methods, formed a plan to keep Cipher in the program, and was persistent with the guidance necessary to develop a dog into a good service dog. Today, due in large part to Michael’s work, Cipher has become a full-time service dog for a military veteran battling the effects of PTSD. Two additional dogs under Michael’s leadership just recently graduated to service dog status, and a third dog has become a therapy dog.
Michael Connors is a hardworking, dedicated, and skilled dog trainer, and an individual of whom I have the utmost respect. I am proud to pass along my recommendation.

Michael has now had two training sessions with us and our eight month old dog Skye, and the results have already been incredible. The positive changes we've seen in Skye didn't seem possible before we started our training. Michael is polite, patient, and has a very flexible schedule.
